This Fuchi Kashira is of a type I have never seen before in my 38 year career. It is called "Oni Nanako" meaning "Devil" Nanako --- in other words it hurts the heck out of your hands when you hold or touch it. Useful, I suppose, for hitting your enemies with the pommel end or at least rasping their faces. Made and signed by a famous maker of Samurai Sword fittings.
I just thought maybe everyone would like to see such a rare and unusual piece .....
