I think its because when you're a kid, you change more. If adults did this, you'd see almost the same thing all along. Kids grow a lot faster.

u got crazy hair in college.

It takes a whole minute to pull a camera out and take a picture.
Hell, if it even takes a minute..you have time to take a few extras just in case you didn't like the others.
