Edgar - Movie Trailer: Hoover è stato direttore dell'FBI dalla sua fondazione nel 1935 alla morte nel 1972, un "regno" lunghissimo e controverso che ha portato le norme successive a fissare a 10 anni il mandato massimo per questa carica. Tra gli aspetti più controversi della sua vita, peraltro, una presunta omosessualità repressa, in aperto contrasto con i numerosi provvedimenti (anche omofobi) attuati durante la sua carriera. Hoover era infatti noto per utilizzare l'FBI al fine di attaccare gli attivisti e i dissidenti politici, raccogliendo fascicoli segreti sui leader politici per minare la loro credibilità spesso puntando sulla sfera sessuale.

Chills up my spine. Leonardo di Caprio could always act. This role would have been difficult, especially playing someone as hated as J Edgar. But there appears to be other sides to this character. I must see it.
