I ran through this form a few times before to warm up and this is my 1 time fast all out the way I want to perform it at our coming Tournament. It's still ok, my butterfly kicks need to improve and my intensity needs to stay up till the end. I love this form and weapon. It's alot of fun and intense. I appreciate advice to better improve my form.

  • Your right on every point you made and I apologize if it upsets you. It's an enjoyable form to do and I've place 1st a few times with it in competition.

  • ah sensei ryan (bryan) been a long time. i remember when u were my mentor @ ussd westwood in california.. you are such a great instructor. and i see you are getting better at what you love doing. with it up! Daniel Bautista

  • @chupaxxx Hey Daniel, thank you! It's been a long time. This profession is truly an amazing experience!

  • I realy like is this a specific form and what style?

  • @ninjauric: This is not any specific form. It's a modern competition form. It's a compilation of basic katana cuts with more dynamic and explosive movements.

  • I'm going to be doing a broadsword form that we learned at shaolin sword seminar for our next Cali tournament. I've been studying the katana extensively for the past 5-6 months. I will put up a video of my broadsword form and when you have time let me know what you think. How's that?

  • @aaronmaier8: That would be cool, I'd love to see the form you plan to do.

  • Flash for flash-sake upsets me. I mean no disrespect, but the wide hand gestures early in the form, the tossing up and back-and-forth of the sword, these things may represent some level of physical focus, but do little for practical application, and stem from what appears to be no specific tradition.

  • @tigerdragonfight awsome I like...
