i think it's easy to have kindness for people who feed our ego & give us what we want! In general, these are the people we say we "love". When we consider that those labels change constantly - ie: enemies become friends, friends become strangers... we see there is no real, inherently existing enemy
great advice about dealing with people who back-stab you & checking your motivation. I like how Tsem Tulku Rinpoche also talks about being a buddhist doesn't mean you have to be a door mat, he ROCKS!
