Reached 200 views! Thanks everybody. Again, this is not really a video - just two images and the song.

Hope you enjoy the song. Feel free to pass on the URL to someone else you think might it enjoy it as well.

Sometimes in my life I have experienced (and many others have as well) what Abraham Maslow called "peak experiences" - a feeling of being in contact with a universe beyond the one I currently exist in, often while traveling, almost always when alone. These are not hallucinations but more akin to revelations imbued with a deep feeling of spirituality and meaning. Some people feel during the peak experience that they are being touched by God, and I have felt that way. But my peak experiences have not always been paradisical/utopian; this song tells a story of a peak experience in which the Gods revealed are quite different than what many people might expect - or devoutly wish for.

Lyrics:
He feels a gentle touch - a gentle voice that said too much
He decided he's had enough - he's headed out alone
The clouds they gather there - raindrops slash the summer air
Tension broken by the tearing of the web of Norns

And a voice is calling from behind
So he picks up the broken shards of his pride and heads for Emerson Road

(thousand young who walk alone - mother call your children home)

On my horse I am fourteen - long mane flying behind me
Drenched in rain no tears are seen - this anesthesia
The storm leads to a kind of piece - shed my skin in reptile grace
Now my venom is replaced with mad fantasia

Fear gives way to warmth
I am embraced in phantom arms
Down on Emerson Road

(prophecy he would fulfull - calls his father from the hill)

And the night makes its stand
Until the morning light tears the scars across this land
And I won't be denied
Until I reach that place where land turns into sky

Ever since I found my own I do not fear to be alone
For all that fury that night broke and I became a stone
Yes I fell when I did ride - I guess I might have died
And then my shade would walk beside this dark and empty road
On this path so overgrown - oh what a thing to be a ghost - down on Emerson Road

(not dead which eternal lies - and with aeons death may die)
