Hotel Fire Alarm

This fire alarm went off in my *BUSY* hotel this morning. Two people got up and went outside. Some continued eating breakfast. One guy kept working out in the weight room. THINK PEOPLE! DO YOU WANT TO DIE??!!!! Leave when the alarm goes off!

We were told that the alarm was caused by someone burning something in the kitchen. I can understand; these things happen. I can't understand why noone left the building except me and four others. This was a full hotel. We all waited 30 minutes and no fire trucks arrived. Then, the hotel personnel came out to tell us there was no fire. That's when I made the video.

I can't believe people wouldn't leave a building during a fire alarm!!!

@Gb755c exactly. but you have to be TOLD. what if there's this cataclysmic inferno above you and the floor is getting ready to collapse, but you're eating your bacon and eggs unaware!?

@ladysquier You can also stay if the alarm is going off if you are told by staff members or authorities it's ok to do so or if notified that a test is about to commence

we once triggered a fire alarm at la quinta in wayne, NJ. we had a room with a crappy microwave and we were using the microwave and triggered the alarm. we didnt hear it until there was a loud bang on the door. it was the fire department.

it's illegal to stay in the building if the fire alarm is going off, unless you're conducting the drill o.O so either die or get arrested...
