Thing about wolves as you said they only hunt when hungry and I believe it's been said that most animals tend to stay away from human flesh I've even heard that we apparently taste like disgusting. I also believe I've heard that Wolves don't generally like to be seen around people they like to be in hiding and stay away from humans as much as they possibly can.

I understand they make women in horror movies this way to make it harder for everyone to survive but why can't they do it in another way why not just make the antagonist just that more intelligent.
