The commandment comes with a corollary: "Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord your God IN VAIN." "In vain" is the key here. In all of these instances Tedashii is invoking the name of the Lord for purpose, for emphasis, but not in vain. His usage is a call, a cry to the Maker, not a throwaway exclamation.

Why does T-Dot say "Oh my god" in his songs?? Doesn't the Bible say "Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD you God in vain"?? What does Tedashii say about this?? he says "oh my..oh my..oh my.. god." Hmmmmmm... he also said this in "26s Ft. Lecrae" on Identity Crisis album. He says "pimpin pimpin oh my god." I DONT GET IT!!!!! WHY?!?!?

Hey guys, I'm a gospel rapper I know you'll see a lot of this and probably don't care
But Please care...
Matthew 28:19-20 Therefore go and make disciples of every nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
Time is short, lives need saving, help me share the gospel by liking this comment. I don't need glory, but God does...

@bwbman100 If you did those things that is great for you. But you also have to know that God never said that life was going to be easy, nor did he say he will fix everything the way you wanted the world you live to be. He says that he will be there for you though. We can never fully understand Him, although you did those things it didn't happen, maybe because he meant for it to happen. But understand not everything bad is God's fault either. Sin is also living among us.
