One of the most distinctive voices in black music, Jocelyn Brown has been Manu Dibango and "Musique" vocalist: there she sang "Keep on jumpin'" which she would later record as a solo artist on a record produced by Todd Terry. "Somebody else's guy" was written four hands with Jocelyn's sister Annette; this song definitively crowned Brown as one of the most popular "disco divas". In her career she worked with such artists as Boy George, Right said Fred, Incognito, Masters at Work, Kym Mazelle and Jestofunk. She has also been part of the "Harlettes" a backup choir for Bette Midler during the early eighties.
