What is the difference between being a Republican or a Democrat?
There are two basic philosophies of Law and Government.
One is based on evolution which says:
Laws are based on man's opinion,
Rights are granted by government,
and government should be the all-powerful provider.
This is a Democracy (always becomes totalitarian)
The other is based on Creation which says:
Laws come from the Creator,
Rights are "unalienable,"
and government should be limeted to the punishment of evildoers and defense. This is called a Constitutional Republic
Barack Obama is a democrat. Democracies are a dangerous form of government. They always become dictatorships, and they always talk about this "Universal Healthcare. However, 70 to 80 percent of health care costs in America are from self-induced illnesses and accidents like smoking, drinking, driving drunk, etc.
"All democracies become dictatorships"
Why would you say all of a sudden that we are no longer a constitutional democracy when obama is in power. Its not as if the republicans or conservatives have done anything recently to shrink government anyway. They did however cause the war on drugs (total failure), run up the debt overseas, and try to allow the bankers to take bailout money in the form of huge bonuses, just to name a few.

Did he just compare people to things? This is why I'll never vote Republican. Most of them are laughingstocks.

@BluesHarp60 What's so bad about Obama? He's been doing quite well so far. And far better than George Bush, obviously.

This video makes Barrack Obama look bad, which I don't like.
But it also makes a good point, which I do like.

As a nation we must decide how much control we want the government to have on our lives. Whether or not we are willing to provide health care as a mandatory requirement, whether or not we want to regulate minimum coverage type of health insurance like we do auto insurance, and whether or not we want to have the government to control our lives even more than they already do.

We are a democratic republic, not a strict democracy. Also to say democracy requires government health-care is silly, democracy is when people come together to decide the fate of themselves as a whole, through a majority vote. Since we are a republicans democracy we have representatives and a supreme court system. As the US we also have two strong political parties trying to accomplish the same thing through different strategies.
