I think the final note was a high C. Interesting opera but so short. From what I've read Verdi used a Donizetti librettist (Camarano?) who was used to Donizetti's fleshing things out more, but Verdi composed at a pace that overtook the slim text resulting in an opera with hardly more than an hour's music. No wonder it's done so seldom, really would need to be paired with another short opera to make for a full evening.
