How to make an image have a transparent background. Image transparency, invisible background, image overlay. People call it many different things but in this video I will clearly show how to make an image have a transparent background using Adobe Photoshop. There are some tutorials showing how to do this that I have seen but they do not show how to do it clearly and never explain why you can't see "Duplicate Layer." It's because your using an image that is not a JPEG, or compatible image. You have to first save the image as a different file type. Then you can proceed with making the background transparent! Be aware that there are multiple ways of making an image have a transparent background but I find that this way guarantees you the cleanest cut looking result without any missed dirty pixels lying around. So, when I want a quality transparent background without a chance of the image looking messy I use this technique.

This is my first tutorial video. If you want quality instruction from graphics design, to gaming walkthroughs, tips 'n tricks, cutscenes, etc. This will be the place in the near future!

P.S.
You can get the taskbar that I use on the left side of my screen at:
http://www.rocketdock.com
It's REALLY customizable so be prepared to waste some time away playing with it. heh

Also, the background that I use in the vid can be found by going to Google Images at this link:

Search for "Mario Fireball." You'll find the background I use plus a lot of other cool one's. Peace
