  • I love the way pretre and crespin perform the lullaby at the beginning of this piece. It helps reveal the light and shade of kundry...an amazing character.

  • I met  Regine Crespin by chance in the same lift some few month before she died.. Hello Madame Crespin, I said ,

    " You are the best wagnerian french singer , and your Liedekreis interpretation are the best!!! of the XX century !! She answer me : "If you say that..!" ....

    Crespin was such an amazing singer.

    In her later years the voice lost a bit of his brightness....sad, but still GREAT artistry!!!!!!

    When you listen to Callas in her early years, and you hear THIS Kundry....a sensues one.

    Brava!!!
