Video project inspired by Hayley Westenra's haunting rendition of the traditional Irish folksong. This is what happens when you get two highly imaginative (and bored) artists together. Sigh...
Starring author and actress Mary Lademan and filmed and produced by Bree A. Dail.

  • @jonathanryan6233 Thanks for visiting! I hardly have time to be "bored" now-a-days, but when I do...I'll be makin' a few more vids, for sure!

  • Hello Lyricsavvy. Your friend Mary Lademan has such a pretty smile. She seems to be a perfect choice choice for this video. I agree with Smudgynose in that Mary looks like Maggie Gyllenhall. Anyway, it's a very lovely song. Very warm and soothing.

  • @11gokey Thanks for the comment! Mary has really been shocked at how popular this video is. I'm trying to convince her to do another...we shall see!

  • Thanks everyone! Mary L. has expressed total surprise on how popular this video has been...she is grateful for all the comments, as am I!

  • This is beautiful! Gorgeous song even if Hayley did change the words... and the girly looks like Maggie Gyllenhaal, does anyone else think? x

  • Thanks for the comment! I agree, Mary does look a little like Maggie--she'll be thrilled to hear about the comparison, I'm sure!

  • This video is magnificent! So beautiful with the music. Great job!

  • ralumni :

The line is "and then she went homeward with one star awake, as the swan in the evening moves over the lake." I think it's just a poetic metaphor for her quietly gliding away, gracefully and beautifully, like a swan moves over a lake. ;-P

  • ……. Truly magnificent … & thanks for keeping the ghost lyrics in, as I'm sure that you've heard that as a Traditional 'tis often played at wedding receptions, with the kinder, gentler non-ghost lyrics … Beautifully appointed … May you ever on make wonderful art … Cheers! ~ (•8-D

  • i have to say the music is fantastic so haunting i have heard fergal sharky sing this and i have to say he does a fantastic version

  • WOW! This is like looking at someone who existed in this landscape many years ago and her spirit is still walking it now. Perhaps its a dream. The mystery of it makes her appear even more beautiful than she is and she is very beautiful.

  • this lady is haunting born for this vid

  • Your friend freaked me out! :D In the best possible way of course, it felt like she was looking into my soul :P

  • If nature could sing....
