This footage was taken from one of the Scottish Seabird Centre's landing boat trips to the Bass Rock, near North Berwick in Scotland, in the company of wildlife photographer Chris Packham and Dr Bryan Nelson, world expert on gannets, . It's an incredible once in a lifetime experience being amongst 150,000 gannets and their chicks. David Attenborough describes it as one of the wildlife wonders of the world. This footage shows "chumming" from the boat "Fisher Lassie", where fish is thrown from the back of the boat to try to capture the gannets' spectacular 100kmph plunge dive. Amazing!
PS: Chris Packham put the gannets in the no 1 spot in his Top 40 Wildlife experiences - we were delighted.
