The Cocktail Spirit - The Ramos Gin Fizz
The use of egg white and cream in this version of the fizz creates a unique experience. Velvet with a citrus background and a bubbly pop, the Ramos Gin Fizz.

  • did you even watch the video? he used both. Wow you must have a tiny little brain. I'm sorry

  • @espenshade55 - If you will notice in the video, I state that I am intentionally showing how a bar which doesn't typically use fresh juices, but has pre-cut wedges, could use those wedges to use fresh juices as well.

  • Seattle's expert gets it wrong again. No ice buddy.

  • @rbh0869 Hmm, thank you for that, are there more viable (i.e. easier to find) alternatives to orange flower water if it's not available in my area?

  • @redmunkee - while both orange flower water and triple sec utilize "orange".... they are two totally different products. Triple Sec uses the essential oils from the orange peel, while orange flower water uses blossoms from orange trees. Also, triple sec is sweet and alcoholic, while orange flower water is just water with orange flower essence.

  • Can I substitute the orange flower water with triple sec?

  • @jonjangler - It took 10 minutes for two reasons... first is that unlike your average bartender, I am pontificating throughout to help provide some insights, details, and information about the drink. That is part of the purpose of my videos, to provide more background material than you'll typically find on some of the so-called "how to make cocktails" videos. Alsom the RGF is a drink which is known for being more time consuming to make. In the "old days" a bevy of shaker boys would help out.

  • One drink in ten minutes! Has this guy ever worked behind a bar?

  • Nice video, except for one small nitpick: a Fizz is served without ice or with up to maybe 2 ice cubes. With lots of ice, its a Collins.

  • I think he could have cut about three minutes off of this video if he had just used a hand squeezer and squeezed the lime and lemon in halves rather than all of those wedges.
