It isn't true that type 2 diabetes didn't exist before 1960!

The difference between type 1 and type 2 diabetes wasn't defined before 1960, so it wasn't diagnosed. But neither was type 1 diabetes!

Type 1 diabetes kills people quickly without insulin. The diabetics who lived awhile before 1960, had type 2 diabetes.

It makes me question your other statements.

Type 1 Diabetes (IDDM) was well documented prior to 1960. In fact it was during the search for a treatment for what was then termed juvenile diabetes that Insulin was first discovered in 1921.

how can sugar be addictive? he didn't sey what type of sugar either... that's why I only see videos from real scientists and doctors not someone with all due respect, if you did this for your highschool keep it in ur classroom. I am not a scientists either but I have my very own valid sources and all well funded.

There's so much misinformation outthere mixing truths and half truth and lies brings it all down to people that are curious but lazy enough not to do it proffesionally.

From the book "Type 2 diabetes: principles and practice" by Goldstein:

"In the pre-insulin era, patients who developed complications related to diabetes would be type 2 diabetics because type 1 patients simply would not survive long enough."

Fat people were much less common then, but they did exist, and type 2 diabetes would almost certainly have been as frequent in overweight people as it is now.
