I like how he completely dodged the question about changing some of the platfom views on social issues. The only thing that is going to attract is the lowest of the low; no self respecting American should subscribe to a party simply because they're honest and have alternative solutions. Certainly these should be two elements someone seeks out in a politician but are not reasons enough to compromise your own values and support someone who doesn't agree with what you believe in.

Exactly. Hardball questions? These just sound totally reasonable and straightforward to me. Since when has the right become so terrified of debate that unremarkable, middle of the road journalism like this becomes threatening?
