"Farewell Concert" is the live recording of the Cream's final concert at the Royal Albert Hall on November 26th, 1968.
Directed by Tony Palmer, the film incorporates pieces of six performances with narration by BBC announcer Patrick Allen, along with interviews with the band members themselves, showcasing their playing abilities.
The film has often been criticized for both its mediocre sound and visual effects.
In 2005, a special extended edition of the concert appeared featuring full versions of all songs separated from the narration and interviews. The new version featured digitally remastered sound and video including three bonus songs.
Genial

@bkread456 While I could stand to not have the static photos during the solo, I'm just as pleased to see the other members during the solo as I would have been if they only filmed Clapton. As a bass player it gets real old watching concert videos and only seeing the guitarist/singer being highlighted. Just listen to what Jack and Ginger do during the solos- it's a total statement from the band and not just Clapton working over the fret board.

Clapton got more animated in the 70s when he went solo here he's still a pretty shy person

great tune great riff, Eric CLapton was a motherfucker to listen to , sort of a bore to watch play.

The reason that Claptons guitar solo isn't in is because the guy wasn't anything to watch. Great player!! But he wasn't animated. Jack looks like he's feeling it. Ginger was eternally enjoying it. Either way I love this band. There are no base riffs in music like this anymore.

It's too bad the director/editor did such a lousy job of cutting this together...completely missed Clapton's solo...all the signs of another coked out director, cutting this at 4am with no sleep for days...still great to see, but wish someone with more aesthetic sense had put it together...
