Mendel's Legacy asks what we know. I am a video artist with a singular vision who uses layers and sound to fragment and re-assemble narrative. Take 1: Genetic engineering, gene banks and gene mutants are the foundation of much of Biology. What does that mean for the future? Take 2: The modern scientist and nostalgia for an age of Darwinian discovery and the bittersweet of memory inhabit the same images. Mendel's Legacy is an unreliable narrative. The soundtrack is an emotional manipulator. Are words and sound, or image the privileged communicator?
