even though i am a muslim female, i never understood why it's the women who need to cover up lest the god fearing muslim male loose control and feel like raping.
why not encourage the men to wear blinders instead?

well actually women can dress up an look good but should no attract men other then their husband thats why burqa is necessary for muslim women.they should hide only from those men out there but not from their friends family

A burqa is not necessary, dude... it's just for repression... Let women decide for herself...or will you allow, that women dictate you, what you have to wear? I guess no...

Its a shame that the indecent, "take all your clothes off to look beautiful" syndrome is taking over in pakistan. Women shouldnt parade around half naked, especially not in a country that claims to be a muslim state. There should be some modesty.... Its a slippery slope, its only going to get worse. How these people can allow their sisters, daughters to undress on show... Shameless..

Yeah if everything God gave you should be paraded, does that mean you would be happy to walk around naked with your family, would they join you and your equal rights stance.... i think not. For example if men and women should be equal in respect to clothing.. if you go out swimming with your mum and sisters would you get them swimming trunks to wear... that would be equal... BUT TOTALLY SILLY. Wake up, we are not the same...

You talking about bras and whatever, I talk about barqas and about the fact, that women hasn't the same right like men and that is for sure not the will of god! Self-determination is the key, doesn't matter if you like it, everybody decides for his own! If a woman will wear a barqa, fine, when not - nobody should put her under pressure! And thats the same with fashion clothes
