With Wendy Whelan & Nikolaj Hübbe (NYC Ballet), Prima Ballerina Assoluta Eva Evdokimova, Tadej Brdnik (Martha Graham Dance Company) and more...
They all have something in common.
They came to Manhattan to make their way as professional dancers.
"Behind the Curtain" takes us back to these dancers very first steps.
It chronicles their struggles, the day to day grind and breakthroughs that
come as a result of hard work.
It is about how they kept going throughout their careers - their life.
It is about how passion can lead you.
It is a declaration of love.

i disagree so much with 3:44...dance does not make me feel comfortable with my body, but it forces me to love it, even if you can't see all my bones.

The last song is called "Extraordinary" and was composed from "Crystin" for the film.

It's unfair to users when posters tag people who don't appear in the videos. Instead of including one or two more dancers, this trailer spends quite some time observing non-dancers in the street. I felt cheated, too.

I am sorry, it made you feel that way.
This was definitly not the intention. These are just exerpts of the documentary and it is not possible to put some exerpts out of the film, were all 12 dancers are in it. I appologize for that. About your comment to see non-dancers: might be a good topic to discuss at what point someone can tell, if another person is a dancer or not. :)

Nikolaj Huebbe, Eva Evdokimova, Val Suarez and Erica Dankmeyer are just not in the trailer. They all appear in the full length movie "Behind the Curtain". Actually Nikolaj gave the title to the movie, because he said in the interview, that he always wanted to know as a child: "what is behind the curtain" ;-)(Sorry, we could not put all the participants in the trailer)
