Everything you said is common sense things for winter driving. UNFORTUNATELY, when it comes to the average driver they do not have common sense to drive sensibly during the winter! Cannot wait until cars and trucks become fully automated so that we don't have morons driving anymore!

What tips can you give to some one who drives a more powerful nehicle?

@GordanMFreeman The combination of more power and rear-wheel drive can make many performance vehicles harder to control on slippery roads. The electronic controls in most modern cars (like stability control, brake-force distribution, etc.) can definitely help. But if you live in a part of the country where you regularly drive through snow and ice, you may want to invest in a set of winter tires that have spikes to improve traction.

@GordanMFreeman Of course the best advice is probably to take it slow and accelerate gently. And if the weather gets really bad, stay home!
