I haven't heard of Mugison but I'm definitely about to look them up. Also check out Mum if you haven't yet. They're probably my favorite of all the Icelandic music.

Another metal fan here, I also know lots of metalhead that listen to icelandic too, this seems to be a tendancy, I guess heaven shall burn helped a bit with olafur arnalds. Metal always tried to mix "classic" stuff with metal, I think that's how metalheads somehow like this kind of music.

I'm another VERY open minded metal fan who loves trippy Icelandic music :) I've been lucky enough to see Sigur Ros last summer and Olafur Arnalds and Finn (and another support act I don't remember) last winter, stumbled across Amiina and Mu'm more recently and I'm hooked. It seems completely necessary to me to have all kinds of music in my collection to suit all my different moods and occasions :) Nice to know I'm not the only one <3
