  • I've tried this, but Word insists upon putting an inital capital letter on the first word in each cell. I was using it to make a spelling list for some school children, so didn't want the caps. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

  • The word capitalization comes from Word's Auto Correct feature. Click Tools --> Auto Format or Auto correct, and you can turn off automatic capitalization.
