Hey NLind, are your Dicons vintage ones from the 1970's? My parents had 3 Dicons in their old house 2 of them were 1970's alarms with the awful screechy buzz. The one was from the late 1980's and had the piezo. I could still kick myself for not snatching the older alarms when my Dad replaced them. What year are your Amway alarms from? I have seen a few vintage units on Ebay. Never heard what they sound like though.
