  • Great singing but the melody really reminds me of Peggy Lee's version of Fever. Anyone else notice the similarity?

  • See youtube video JGb5IweiYG8 and

Listen for yourself, but I don't recognize any melody similarities. Similar rhythm, but slower on Keys-, also similar in that there's clicking (leg slapping) as percussion and little (and no) instrument accompaniment.

  • What are the words "Take ol'John ........on the "what"? Thanks

  • THANK YOU!! I have written down your version and will be doing at my Church in mArch. I am doing a series on the stained-glass windows in our Church. The first window is concerning the keys to the kingdom, and I needed a song to highlight the message. Again, THANK YOU.

  • I remember seeing Sharon Gilchrist often perform with a friend's little sisters many years ago in Dallas.

Sharon was the most beautiful girl i had ever seen, the sisters became the Dixie Chicks.

I still have a bit of contact with Sharon and Kristin....nice video. They recently have two new members.

  • super rendition,

  • abigail starts off in A and by the time they get to the end, they're barely high enough to even be in G! maybe it only bothers me....

  • The lead singer is Abigail Washburn, I'm sure. I was with my choir on a trip in Colorado, and we met her on a bus... She taught us this song, and we sang it with her... It was so freaking cool. All the way to the airport from the car rental place. I had this song on my myspace until she deleted it from her profile.

  • This is the most moving song, sang by the best new group I've heard!

  • Actually the song Keys to the Kingdom predates Fever. Uncle Earl's rendition is based on a 1937 song by Lillie Knox. The Fever song was written in the fifties

so maybe the writers of that song borrowed a bit from the Keys.
