i really really like that you use this type of music on your vids. almost all strongman vids i see have horrible shouting metal 'music' on them. the songs really reflect that whilst you are training very hard, and doing long lost feats of functional strength, you are having FUN too! so ur vids are fun to watch also. :)

@h4d193 absolutely, I even have the name in the video, however I remember doing a video with the Georgia song back then, must have been confused. Either way, Georgia is a better song anyway, imo.

i like the look of that excercise and im going to go and do it now! what are the benefits of it? and i noticed in the comments about how its totaly different with a fixed barbell. how is this?

@ded56t3 It is easier to teach and to learn than a full Snatch, you can teach this to a small group in 10 minutes. Also with the clean grip, you can add it into a complex. The jump is to make it more "athletic" and less efficient, which is the opposite of what you would want in a true o-lift but perfect for conditioning. A fixed barbell will feel like it's gonna rip your hands off at the wrists... but in a good way. I do this normally with either a globe barbell or sandbags.

The oldtimers did this with fixed barbells though didnt they? Makes it a completely different lift.
