It has much more influence and variety in it than Blink-182 does with their 4 chord D,A Bm G sounds in every song.
Also, the reason I don't like a lot of members of Blink is because they seemed to change their whole sound and image for the fame and fortune - like what you're saying now. It's up to you whether you wanna stay underground in the punk and ska music scene or go up there with the mainstream monsters.
