I think the Jewel gear looks cool too, i just dont like the default BS gear.

The gears on black square kinda suck cept for the PGP and maybe the DJMP2 defualt.

pentavision announced that they made clazziquai edition to attract new users + female gamers, while black square is for the dj max fans. thus, they came up with 2 buttons but er yeah i sorta agree with you that it won't really help much. adding tutorial mode was good enough to attract new users imo.
