@LIGHTRONIX This is actually true. I've heard Buddy Rich himself splitting sixteenths between the right foot and left hand while keeping the ride pattern going and the left foot on 2 and 4.  I think it was on his recording of Cottontail but I don't remember exactly. I've also heard him doing fast left handed sixteenths, also on Cottontail.

@tomodrum Lol hahaha yeah he sure is a drum creep xD Nonetheless he is amazing, but maybe just not the guy for DT since he's really into the kind of 23 minute drum solo shit (I know, portnoy also did live solos but still...), anyway good thing they didnt split because of Mike's departure. I'm affraid he will never return to Portnoy... I think there was a serious fight going on between bandmembers...

@rolfeijg2 so you watched him playing DT songs and now you know I wasn't way off.

Minnemann is a drum creep imo, he's waaay too good even for DT but I think Minnemann and Jarzombek have officially declined the offer. I still wish they'd picked Charlie but it's got be Mangini, an American, a "world class drummer", around the same age and the Berklee connection.
