Sometimes less is more. If you want to clean up the front end of your '99-'04 Mustang try this grill delete kit from Classic Design Concepts. Another must have modification for your Mustang!

In 2003 and 2004 Ford offered a special edition Mustang: the Mach 1. The grill delete was just one of many changes including a shaker hood, more powerful engine, different gearing, etc. You can now buy a kit to convert your Mustang GT or V6 grille to look like the Mach 1! As you saw in the video it's a pretty simple install.

the bolts on the bottom of my grill arnt bolts i sont know how to detach that part the top is an od clip that i could not unscrew and i have no clue whats on the bottom, its a full circle with no groves in the head, im completely stumped...

@blackscanberacisttoo it may be riveted in. perhaps it was this way from the factory or a body shop did work to the car at some point. As mentioned before those bolts are a tiny bit of a pain...

Turns out , American Muscle only offers the 2 piece Mach 1 grille delete , the 3 piece is no more they tell me . Can I get by with the 2 piece ?

It looks like it is a drop down option on the AM order page...correct me if that is not the case.

Talked to rep yesterday , they dont carry the the 3rd piece anymore , suggestions???

Looks like you will need to modify the stock piece with a dremel tool. See one of the additional images on American Muscle's order page.  Did the rep not mention that? Maybe there is another way? Thanks for the heads up.

the two outter screws that hold down the facia will not come out...they're being extremely stubborn. any ideas as to how to get them out without ruining the paint?

Put mine on and looks great on a yellow stang. Great instructions, but those 4 7mm bolts were a pain to get out due to their location

@andy92811 I would be worrying more about bugs but if rocks are getting that high I would be worrying about my paint. Just tell him it looks awesome :)

Is it safe not to have a grill? My dad was arguing with me that having no grill to block the radiator is not safe because rocks can knock up and get into it. Does he have a valid point?
