Enderman hive

FYI: This video is from 1.7, before the Enderman release, and is based entirely off suggestions and requests from the Internets and has absolutely no standing in any sort of reality.

So I was inspired by (or decided to rip off) these two Reddit threads about Enderman.

Basically, the suggestion was to have the Enderman build semi random hives with the blocks they steal, much how termites do it. No real overall plan, just based on pheromones or something. Then someone made a couple pictures of how that would look. I ended up going with more of a long flat mound rather than a stacked hive just cause it was kind of easier to make and show off.

To make it I found a suitable area near my desert blasting and just dug a staircase down into the base of the cliff and laid a TNT block every other step and set it off to get that descending cave. Then I just placed some sandstone and sand in the mouth to back up my blasting story. For the hive/mound I just grabbed as many different types of block as I had in my chests and started placing them, then dug out a 3 high winding tunnel with some offshoots and tried to make it look randomish. That tall single pillar was naturally occurring, which is why I built it there. And taking out random one blocks from the ground and trees for effect.

At the end I originally shouted "Oh god!" and cut it to black, but I couldn't get it to sound right. It either sounded forced and unemotional or like I hated people who wore headphones and wanted them to suffer. So I just cut straight to black and silence.

ahhhhh yes the endermen they will sometime have hives i invade there personally they usually have some good ore down there

well the good thing is that they pick up ores and put it on land so you dont have to go in the cave

This is like something I suggested on reddit. Only my idea had it where they retreated to it during the day like bats, making them more vulnerable. Nice video though.
