  • I hope that is not a hollow echo I hear (other than the cough) but a significant gathering is there. Balanced Budget should have been passed 150 years ago. If most citizens are led into poverty (3rd world status) they will not allow those who led us down the path to live in luxury.

    Amendments to rein in DC:

    Balanced Budget

No Forced Purchase of Products (health care, etc)

No Immunity From Laws and Justice

  • Thanks for trying Senator, John you got my vote..

Perhaps a 2 term limit for any congressman (house and senate) with 2 or even 3 consecutive budgets unbalanced. That might sell on the hill.. I would say just one term but that won't sell. we need a satrting point somewhere. Good luck you got your work cut out for you.

  • I like what he is saying, but is there anyone else there listening? Is it maybe just a practice speech? There's no one sitting anywhere near him...

  • Senator Cornyn is correct,There should be no unfunded spending, The federal government needs to shrink dramatically,The loop holes for the super rich need to be closed. Also means testing needs to be done on social security. No more black magic balancing acts with the budget.

  • This is my representative and I love him. He makes so much sense and actually takes his job as my representative seriously. Thanks John....

  • @JArrexte: Nifty if they don't know what they are doing, NOT nifty if they have been actually doing their jobs.

  • Nifty idea: Senate Term Limits :3

  • Also as part of the new law should be added "no law shall be passed that does not apply to congress or any other member of government."

  • Thank you for doing your job while so many others do not.

  • The proverbial nail was hit on its head - either Congress resolves the problem or we the people will do what we need to do during the next election cycle. WE are sick and tired of being sick and tired!
