Bump firing my AK-47 for my last shoot with it. I knew I wasn't gonna be able to shoot it for a while. Had to move to California for a couple years to take care of some business so I had to leave it behind for a while. But, It's back in good hands now ;)

  • DC SHOES

  • @ryspace True. But, I still like that it matches. :)

  • @dawgtorsa

All lowers are made by the same few manufacturers and companies just add their logo.

  • @dawgtorsa

    Actually that was struck down.

The courts told them they couldn't make blanket ban and to list specific makes/models and they picked random ones. lol.

So essentially a "Colt" "AR-15" is illegal.

But a "Colt" "RA-15" would be legal, if they just roll-marked that on it instead. Funny haha.

My "Mega" lower is model "Gator" lol.

But it could say "Mega AR15" because Mega is not a maker of banned AR15s.

AK models are the same way.

  • @ryspace I like the fact that my AR is ALL Colt =P And, my AK an AR have no mag lock (bullet button) and I'm not limited to 10 rounds, etc. The law still says though that "All AK Variant rifles" are assault weapons and therefore illegal......so, I'd still be careful, lol

  • @dawgtorsa They are completely legalized with the mag-lock or featureless. I take my AK and AR out all the time and so do a crap load of other calgunners. Even to LEO ranges. No problems.

In fact, many Sheriff's Dept and Police have issued memos to their officers educating them that AK/AR in these configurations ARE legal (as long as they are not on the very small and stupid list, so still no Colt lowers, but you can have ALL Colt with a different brand lower. All lowers are the same, so NBD).

  • @dawgtorsa I wish I could argue with that. The confusion is starting to play to our advantage though :]

Also, I wish more people understood that places like D.C., CA, and Chicago and their crappy laws are the reason we have been winning Federal decisions further affirming our RKBA.

The fight is still important and it is here, not in a free state.

  • @ryspace California over-regulates pretty much everything....whether it's taxes, business, guns, anything....there are so many restrictions on everything that even the judge will end up confused....
