Blow Your Speakers

This is what it sounds when an Akai Stereo Reciever is played far too loud.

The speaker is also missing the surround (the thing, usually foam or fabric, that suspends the cone and is mounted between the cone's edge and the driver's frame).

I think someone is talkin, I had it on FM.

The driver isn't exactly blown. The surround is missing from the cone.

There are repair kits available for this.

It´s not the speaker at all, it is the stereo itself. I played like 6 different speakers in one Akai Stereo Reciever and it got totally fucked up. It´ve tested the speaker in another stereo and it sounds good.

I can see the driver's spider through where the surround is supposed to be.

Oh yeah, I just thought that didn´t make that big of a change in the sound. I will not be repairing this, I got this for free and I have a whole bunch of old worn out speakers. But thanks anyway, much appreciated.
