Eugene Veterans For Peace march in the annual Eugene Celebration Parade and receive rave reviews for their staunch support of peace over war. This year they were #18 in a parade lineup of over a hundred participating organizations. Loud applause, hundreds of salutes, standing ovations and wild hoots galore followed them the entire 1.2 mile long route of between five and ten thousand spectators, making these Vets one of the most popular entries of the parade.
While seven of us were happy to receive applause that rightfully belonged to all VeteransForPeace members, two of us simultaneously staffed an Al-Nakba-History booth, one of perhaps just three like it in the nation, and another one of us, PFC James Burmeister, defied the war machine from a jail cell.
Great video--thank you for posting! It warms my heart to view it.
