you have to blend the avocado ripe or not so you wont have problems

Hmm, I've never put it through a strainer I'll have to try that. Thanks for the tip.

YOU HAVE TO USE A RIPE AVOCADO! IT WILL BE VERY VERY SOFT. and it will not leave those pieces in ur hair.

At 2:05 you mention you get knots. My daughter and I had the same problem, I had to cut them all the time. The hair at the ends are the oldest and the strands are dry and rubbing. Water based moisturizers help on the ends, just dampen it and let it dry. Done every day and I have no problems anymore and her hair is growing wonderfully. Water based moisturizer I use: 1 cup Whole Fd's condt., distilled water to dilute, 2 TB oil and drops of essential oil in a spray bottle.

they are tiny single-strand knots. nothing i do completely gets rid of them... but keeping my hair moisturized and in protective styles helps lessen them.

I love the avocado treatment it is so awesome on my hair after i rinse it out, talk about coils. I have coils popping all over the place. But all of that is ruined when i have to pick the little fibrous pieces out of my hair. :,o(
I'll be starting a coconut cream mixed with coconut milk deep conditioner this weekend. :o) If anyone has the same problem as me with the avocado maybe try the cc/cmdc.

how are you mixing in your avocado? in this vid i just used a big wooden spoon, but now i mash it and then push it though a strainer to get rid of all those fibrous pieces. works like a charm =) plus it helps if you use a super-ripe, old avocado. like, not rotten but starting to rot... very soft. much easier to mash! ;)
