I never heard of John Hiatt until I worked with him recently. Thought I was going to hear a night full of same ol same ol, ...some "folk" music guy (not that that is necessarily bad).

John Hiatt has been around since the 60's boys and girls- his first commercially viable "hit" was "Sure As I'm Sittin' Here" for Three Dog Night in 1974, on the album "hard Labor", believe it or not! This was during his period as a staff songwriter for Tree Publishing in Nashville. You've likely heard quite a bit of his music, recorded by other artists. He's a very prolific writer. And I agree, he is the MAN.
