Oscar buzz is brewing around the young actress Sophia whose work has really matured since her debut in Run Sophia Run. Her new feature, out in time for the holidays, really casts her in a role with dimension; not only as a real world version of herself but as a heroine on level with the likes of Jolie or Diaz. Faced with the challenges of a milk-less house Sophia sets out across a forest preserve bridge multiple times only to immerse herself in the hellish nightmare of Elmer's during the peak of holiday grocery shopping. Her driving skills do come off distracted due in large part to her cerebral interpretation of her role and she's a bit of a lead foot but it is the visuals of this high speed trek that are really bolstered by the backdrop of an intense sound track that would make even Ariel jealous. The movie comes apart slightly with the characterization of the milk thief, whose need for calcium fell flat in believability; perhaps this Lemke was in over his head when matched with his on screen co-star Sophia. This is a method piece worthy of Strasberg that shouldn't be missed. I give it 3 ½ stars and mark my words - Baby in Cart is a star on the rise.
I and my parents liked this movie!!! =))

What the hell is wrong with you: You knock over a CHILD and send her out in the wild world where she has to fend off a crazy blue-suited ninja, an impending rainstorm, and has to drive to the store to get her mother some milk. I mean, for gosh sakes, she can’t even reach the pedal! And she has no license. Oh and by the way I didn’t know that Sophia has 4 arms. 2 of her hands looked manicured.
