Slideshow video for recording by Papaw (Maxie Rell, vocals & nylon-string acoustic guitar) of old standards from the 20s thru 40s, from privately released "Something Shocking" (2004), recorded by Jim Sommers at The Loft in Cheektowaga, New York. Live-in-studio performance, no multitracking. Authentic period microphones were used for the recording, and phonograph record surface noise was added during mixdown. The songs in this part are "Wrap Your Troubles In Dreams" (Barris/Koehler/Moll), "Stars Fell on Alabama" (Perkins/Parish), "They Can't Take That Away From Me" (Gershwin/Gershwin) and "Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea" (Arlen/Koehler).
