  • Is that Bob Dunn on the right side of the picture?

  • Yes, that's Bob Dunn. The tall dude at the back is Moon Mullican, holding a banjo for some reason. I guess holding a piano would have been too much. This band was full of fabulous musicians. They were the best.

    Regards

  • This is great! Love this song, too. How nice that they're not duded up in fake cowboy outfits.

  • Thanks for the comments marykmusic. Yes, a great song. Bob Wills also did a good version, and so did Phil Harris. Stay tuned, more on the way.

    Best wishes

  • Could sombody please post "Stardust" by Cliff Bruner. I have a beat-up old 78 and it's tough listening but I love the recording.

  • Super!

  • Yes it was at La Grange Texas about 10-12 years ago. River Road Boys backed them. I love them ol' boys for what they did for our music!

  • Cliff & Floyd on the same show? That would've been a real good time right there!!!!!!

  • Love this! Really swings!

  • Saw Cliff and Floyd Tillman on the same bandstand. Man! That was something!

  • il vero westernswing!!! dj tiki

  • If anyone needs to know why I love Cowboy Swing, I only have to direct them to this song!

  • Swingin'!

  • Thanks for the response; I thought that was Bob. Is that pic from the Bruner Bear Family box? My copy is packed away and I can't take a quick look. I don't think I have ever seen that pic. Dunn was a genius. A 2 CD set of his work is imminent.
