Amateur radio 40 meter band AM

This was recorded Saturday night April 4th from my ham station in Waco, Texas. The AM mode is like a regular broadcast station and is easier to tune in and can offer very good audio quality unlike SSB which most hams use.
My transciever is a Kenwood TS-B2000 using computer control and driving a linear amplifier Ten Tec Titan 425 for a carrier output of 400 watts. A Heil goldline microphone improves the audio quality and digital audio processing is used in the transciever.

This amp, like the one had before has no mode switch and will work in any mode. . The Centurion had 3-500 tubes and could run only around 200 watts of carrier without overheating the tubes. The Titan uses a pair of 3CX800 tubes and can run at least 400 watts of carrier without approaching the limitations of the tubes. That with modulation is at least the legal limit. It still has enough headroom to not distort the audio and I am told the stations sounds very good.
