I encountered this herd of cows while traveling down a Route Départementale in Corsica. This is not that uncommon a sight on the island. You often see cows (or wild pigs--a cross between domestic swine and wild boars) on or near the edge of a highway. This makes the narrow, windy roads even more of a challenge. This group was not in any hurry, and I filmed them while they sauntered along. You don't to get between any of them, however. One of my wife's uncles had the body work on his BMW modified by a hoof print. Check out, towards the end of the video, the two young calves who add a spring to their gait. As an added note, I passed by this same road later that day--in the early evening, and these same cows were still on the side of the road. It's especially unnerving when you see them at night!
