Seaworld has long been a family favorite for its spectacular shows. Trained killer whales have been a special draw.

But for members of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, what Seaworld is doing is enslaving killer whales.

PETA lawyers are suing Seaworld. They argue the 13th Amendment does not apply solely to humans.

Instead, they recommend that Seaworld replace real killer whales with robots.

But if human laws apply to whales, shouldn't Tilikum be in jail for killing a trainer?

  • This is stupid as hell.

  • Lol Whale slavery...PETA is just getting stupid...oh, wait, they always have been....

  • @Peopstup Slavery = involuntary. Since these animals choose to perform, (both in the wild and in parks) it is not slavery. Since you decided to start insulting me, you have just proven that you can't admit you are wrong. Also, since the whales are plaintiffs, they have to appear in court. Seeing as it is nearly impossible to get a whale in court, PETA will not win.

  • @gourleycoinsDOTcom IT IS SLAVERY. Hopefully PETA win against stupid people included you.

  • @Peopstup They get fed either way. Starving an animal is illegal. Orcas are very playful and love to jump around anyways. Orcas, especially dolphins, love to show off and perform. The "tricks" they do are the same things they do in the wild. The only whale they should let go is the one that killed its trainer because that one is clearly not happy.

  • @gourleycoinsDOTcom They have to jump for food. Get more information. Are you Orca - you know what they think?

  • @Peopstup If they don't want to jump, they are not going to jump. Orcas (especially dolphins) love to play and that is how they play. In the orcas mind, they are just playing.

  • I totally agree with PETA. It is slavery- orcas never choose to jump for kids to make them laugh. They should be free. And people here are totally stupid.

  • @Redfoxcubz lol they become Tofurkey

  • @sparklywindsield88 so what happens to Turkey, the country in Europe then? lol
