1973 Maverick Grabber radical 332 Stroker

This is the video of a 7 month build. The car is a 1973 Maverick Grabber. The engine is a 332 Scat Stroker with Dart aluminum heads, roller cam, 10:1 compression, 650 Holley, stainless valves, MSD Billet Distributor and 6AL. Many other modifications including 4 wheel disc brake conversion, 380 posi, Top Loader 4 speed, Cal Tracks traction bars. We just started the engine for the first time on January 31st. There were some initial problems with the carburetor. We could not get it to idle initially. After several attempts to adjust the carb., we switched it out, and put the old carb on. The problems were solved, but we ran out of video tape. More to come....

Yes, it's a slow process, unless you're loaded! :) But, as I've often said, the journey is part, or in my case, most of the fun. I love to see a project come together. I checked out your video. Nice work. Mavericks rock!!

I'm just working on mine at this time, 11 months, and it´s just in the midle....The subframe connectors and the Rollcage is driving me crazy!!!

sounds like mine. Started in July of 2010 and just got it done all but paint in April 2011. The motor build took 8 mths very slow builder but good. 510hp 418 stroker on pump gas. They take awhile but man isn"t it worth it.
