No one settles in the arctic. That's why Siberia, the Arctic, and Antarctica are virtually untouched by human hands. And for all intensive purposes, the planet is probably getting colder. And once erosion takes care of the Atlantic conveyor belt, it's an ice age again.

Polar bear populations have increased by around five times since the 50's. The bears are not up there crying about our Hummers and air-conditioners. They're gorging on fish until they pass-out, like they always have.
