Das M65 oder T-131 („Atomic Annie) war das größte, mobile Artilleriegeschütz der Welt.
Es ist eine Weiterentwicklung des deutschen Eisenbahngeschützes K5 und wurde während des Kalten Krieges in den 1950er Jahren entwickelt. Das 50 Tonnen schwere Geschütz wurde zum Transport zwischen zwei Traktoren aufgehängt, deren Fahrer über ein Telefonsystem kommunizieren konnten. Rekordverdächtig war auch die Feuerbereitschaft, welche innerhalb von 15 Minuten, mit Hilfe des hydraulischen Hebesystems hergestellt werden konnte.
Das M65 konnte HE (Panzermunition, hochexplosiv), Nuklear und Dummy-Granaten abfeuern. Die maximale Reichweite betrug 29 Kilometer.
Bekannt wurde es durch die Operation Upshot-Knothole - Grable, einem Test der nuklearen 280 mm-Artilleriegranate MK-9 am 25. Mai 1953, in Nevada. Die Granate hatte mit 15 Kilotonnen die gleiche Stärke, wie die Hiroshima-Bombe. Es war das einzige Mal, dass eine nukleare Granate abgefeuert wurde.
20 M65-Geschütze wurden gebaut, wovon 16 allein in Deutschland (u.a. Mainz, Nürnberg, Grafenwöhr) stationiert waren, wenngleich sie 1963 schon wieder außer Dienst gestellt wurden.

why dont they shoot a shell containing a deployable ghettoblaster, fitted with a nuclear battery, with high decibel capability playing this music, it would have a devastating effect on enemy morale. All you would need to clear the contaminated area is a highpowered remote and a streetsweeper machine to wash the blood of the streets, intestinal bleeding is to be expected. Heads might even explode. It might even push meteors out of collision course with earth.
