There may be ten or more marlulu escorted into the meeting camp by the mob. The workers, who are called jinyjanungu, lead the marlulu around the sitting and standing rows of their grieving immediate families, known as the karnku. Finally, the marlulu dip an arm deep into a bag of flour, presented as a symbol of the gifts of food prepared by the karnku families for the marlulu and the accompanying travellers who will conduct the initiation. This video made by Dr Bill Day at the Wirrilimarra meeting camp on Mulga Downs in 2004 for the Banyjima, Innawonga and Nyiyaparli people.
